We are headed to Disney during the bounce back offer of free dining. Can we book the bounce back offer for just my husband kids and add me to the room later since I have an annual pass?

    Hi Kathryn,

Thank you for stopping by today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let me take a stab at it.

Mickey always tries to help our budgets with incredible Special Offers, like discounts on a stay at a Disney Resort Hotel or Theme Park Tickets. But his best and my favorite offer is a Free Dining Plan. And since he wants us to come back to visit him, he even has great offers for a future stay, also called Bound-Back offers. The current offer at this time is for a free Dining Plan for select dates in 2020, but it requires a vacation package with a minimum 4-nigh stay and a 4-day Ticket with Park Hopper Option.

But you have an Annual Pass and don't need the extra tickets... You do have a couple of options. What some Guests in your situation have done in the past is to not use the Tickets that come as part of the Special Offer. And then make sure your tickets are prioritized so your Annual Pass is the one that is used when you enter a Theme Park. It is crucial that you visit Guest Relations before entering a Theme Park to do so. Finally, you may be able to apply the unused Tickets to the renewal of your Annual Pass.

You mention adding yourself to the reservation at a later time, however to do so, it needs to be done at least 24 hours prior to arrival. This will result in your vacation package cost being adjusted, and Theme Park Tickets for you would be added automatically and due immediately. If for some reason you were to travel separate and arriving at a later date, you could be added as a Day Guest to the room. But you would not have any Dining Plan entitlements and you would not be able to make FastPass+ selections 60 days before arrival.

One last tip: keep in mind you can make advanced dining reservations up to 180 days before arrival. Depending on when you plan on visit next year, this could mean you need to start planning in just a few months. See you real soon!
