Headed to diseny in 16 days for my sons first visit,..My question is, In my past visits i have seen kids on the floats in some parades is that something i can talk to someone about to allow him to participate in or no.... thanks and be magical!

    Hello William!

Your son's first Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner!  I bet you're just as excited as he is, right?

It's a truly magical moment for any family to be chosen as a Grand Marshall in one of the Disney parades.  Families are chosen on a random basis to make sure the moment is as magical and pixie-dusted as possible.  Guests are not able to request a spot in the parades.  Often the families are chosen from the crowds gathered at the turnstiles prior to the park opening.

If you son is between the ages of 4-12, I highly suggest signing him up for the Jedi Training Academy at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Your young Jedi will learn the ways of the force and may even help battle a certain Dark Lord.  The Jedi Training Academy is a very popular program, so I suggest arriving at Disney's Hollywood Studios at least 45 minutes prior to park opening and head right to the sign-up location when you enter the park in order to have the best chances of grabbing him a spot.

Come back and see us again real soon! I'd love to help you make your son's first visit as magical as possible!
