Hi Mary,
Welcome Home! I love hearing this greeting every time I return "home".
I have experienced the Quick Service Dining Plan, the standard Disney Dining Plan, and the Deluxe Dining Plan on different vacations. While each plan has its advantages, for most of my vacations my favorite plan is the Disney Dining Plan which includes one quick service meal, one table service meal, and one snack per person per day.
The vacations in which I favor the Quick Service Dining Plan are when they are short (about 3 days) and my goal is to maximize the amount of time I spend in the parks and minimize my time dining in a sit down restaurant. I favor the Deluxe Dining Plan when I want to spend more of my vacation time enjoying sit down table service meals and upscale dining or signature dining which costs 2 dining credits. For most of my vacationing needs however the standard
Disney Dining Plan gives me the most flexibility and balances my dining and entertainment needs well.
Each special offer is subject to its own terms and conditions. In the past I have been able to upgrade the "free dining offer" by paying the difference between the Disney Dining Plan and Deluxe Dining Plan. In order to see if your PIN code or special offer qualifies you should call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone number listed in this link. If you are interested in trying the Deluxe Dining Plan, upgrading a free dining promotion is a great way to see if it fits your vacation style.
Thank you for your question Mary! Please come back and visit us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any further vacation planning questions.
Blessings,
