Greetings Queen Amanda!
Cinderella is pleased to hear you are scheduled to arrive at Walt Disney World Resort in January. She and the mice are hard at work preparing the castle and grounds for your arrival during
The World’s Most Magical Celebration. I understand your desire to look your best as you approach Magic Kingdom Park’s entrance with your valid admission,
theme park reservation, and
method of entry. A character makeover certainly sounds appropriate for this magical occasion.
My tween experienced her first
Bibbibi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park makeover yesterday and it was a busy afternoon. Our Fairy Godmother’s Apprentice was so kind and did a fabulous job adjusting the experience to meet her specific needs. She also shared that the Fairy Godmother's Apprentices often work as a team to ensure the needs of every child are met. If you’re interested in booking an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend being logged into your My Disney Experience account by midnight 60 days in advance. Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can book for their entire length of stay (up to 10 days) 60 days before their check-in date, which is a distinct advantage for this popular experience.
From start to finish, my daughter and I were at Bibbi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park for just over two hours with a lot of other excited princesses, knights, and their families. It sounds like you may prefer a time of pampering in a less stimulating environment. As you experienced, Disney World Character Couture Packages were previously offered at various Disney Resorts Collection hotel salons and offered a different kind of magical transformation experience. These pixie-dusted makeovers were available for kids and kids at heart as compared to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Magic Kingdom Park makeovers that are specifically for Guests ages 3 – 12. Unfortunately, no announcements have been made about the return of the Character Couture Packages, though I do recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates.
My best tip for an alternate magical makeover experience for you and/or your daughter would be to do an internet search for magical makeovers in the Orlando area. There are licensed cosmetologists that will even come to your hotel room to complete the transformation. Talk about the royal treatment! I recommend pairing your makeover with a
Capture Your Moment photo session. In my opinion, the arches found on either side of Cinderella Castle are the best place to capture a quiet moment with an EARidescent backdrop.
You know your royal highness best, Amanda, and I hope one of these recommendations fits like a glass slipper. If this Fairy Godsister can be of further assistance,
you know where to find me!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
