I will headed to Aulani soon and have a question about parking. I understand DVC members get free parking and while I am a member I will not be staying on my points and did not book through the DVC portal. Will I need to pay for parking?

    Aloha Tiffany,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited you'll soon be standing on the sandy beaches of the Ko Olina Lagoon and experiencing Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. I'm picturing the beautiful gardens and hearing the sounds of the ocean waves - my family visited the resort last year and it sure made an impression!

I spoke with Member Services today to get clarification on your parking question at Aulani. As you mentioned, Disney Vacation Club Members using Vacation Points receive complimentary parking. Members who book a cash reservation with DVC Member Services are also eligible for complimentary parking. Unfortunately, if you did not book through Member Services, you would not be eligible for complimentary parking.

Parking at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa is easy to use. Guests with vehicles can choose self-parking or Valet parking (both have accessible parking spots). There are non-covered and covered parking spots for vehicles and an elevator to make it easy to move any luggage. The parking garage is located just steps from the Front lobby and requires either a magic band or a room card for entry.

Tip: I highly recommend checking the Daily ‘Iwa, which highlights the week’s events and activities to help you plan your stay. It provides information on when and where to meet Characters and participate in various activities around the resort.

There are so many fantastic activities to explore at Aulani. Thrill-seekers will love the Volcanic Vertical, an enclosed, extreme body slide, and the Tubestone Curl, an open-air tube adventure that can be ridden with a partner or solo. Both of these empty into the Waikolohe Stream (the lazy river). Steps away, you'll find the colorful Rainbow Reef, where you can snorkel and feed the fish. The pool area is steps from the beach, and if you're feeling adventurous, you can rent paddleboards and other equipment from Makiki Joe's. If you're an eligible DVC Member, be sure to take advantage of the available discounts at this location.

Tiffany, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Have a fantastic stay at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. If you have any other questions, please revisit us at planDisney, we are happy to help!

A Hui Hou, (this means until we see each other again in Hawaiian)
