Hello, Aaron! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
There really is nothing more magical than a Disneyland Resort vacation, but when you add in two special birthdays, your trip is certain to be filled with lots of pixie dust! July is a great time to visit as the parks are usually open for extended hours which means you can really maximize your time. With two little ones, my best suggestion is to start your days as early as possible so you can get a lot done before nap time.
Getting some rest will certainly be needed as there will be lots of nighttime entertainment to enjoy. World of Color and Fantasmic! should have performances nightly and, if it continues into the summer, you might be able to catch the all new Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show as part of
Pixar Fest (which begins April 13, 2018). Plus, my all-time favorite parade, Paint the Night, will return this spring, but this time in Disney California Adventure Park. My fingers are crossed that this parade will continue for many months and if it is showing in July, put this parade on the top of your must-do list!
For a special birthday meal, consider making a character dining reservation. I adore the
Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn, but if you prefer dinner, try
Goofy's Kitchen located in the Disneyland Hotel. Your kids will be so excited to meet their favorite characters while they eat and you can even order a
custom birthday cake to be delivered to your table.
I hope your visit is full of magic and memories!
