Hi, We are going on a hawaii cruise this year and we were wondering if we had enough time to do the Maui snorkel cruise excursion and the old Lahaina Luau excurison in the same day? Thanks so much!

    Aloha, Susan!

My family and I are also excited to be boarding the Disney Wonder for an amazing adventure to the tropical paradise of the Hawaiian Islands in the near future. We too are hoping to fill our time on the islands with as much fun as possible.

In some cases, it may be possible to book more than one Port Adventure on a given day in port during your Disney cruise. My friends and I have enjoyed multiple shore excursions in one day, particularly on Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney Castaway Cay, where nearly all Port Adventures are located within a relatively small, accessible area of their respective islands. When you are within your activity booking window, you will be able to check available excursion times on the My Reservations page on the Disney Cruise Line website. If you attempt to book multiple activities on the same day, the online system should help prevent booking of overlapping excursions to ensure you have enough time to transition between activities.

I don't have visibility into the start and end times for activities available during your cruise as you will be able to see when you book your Port Adventures. So I can't say for certain that your preferred excursions of Maui Snorkel Cruise (KA36) and Old Lahaina Luau (KA09) won't conflict with each other. That said, the specified durations of these particular Port Adventures (6 to 6.5 hours and 5 to 5.5 hours, respectively) appear to be less likely to fit within the 11 hours the Wonder is scheduled to be docked at Kahului, Hawai'i during your cruise. Both of those activities also involve traveling some distance from Kahului. I usually recommend accounting for possible traffic delays when budgeting time. If you should find that the specific times listed on the activities booking page don't conflict with each other and the system allows you to book them both, I would still recommend visiting the Port Adventures desk on deck 3, midship, as early as possible during your cruise to consult with a Crew Member there. They should be able to confirm schedule and location information for your excursions to help you decide ahead of time whether it may be feasible to experience the duo of excursions.

No matter the combination of Port Adventures and any other activities you may plan, you are going to love the beautiful island of Maui. The diversity of landscapes and activities makes it a special place for your cruise to visit. One of my favorite memories from visits to Maui is smelling the aroma of eucalyptus trees while driving up the slopes of Haleakalā or along the road to Hana.

Thanks for your question, Susan. It's a pleasure to help with the planning for your cruise. It's even more special as it helps me consider how my family and I will spend time on our upcoming Hawai'i cruise. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to stop by planDisney again soon.

    Have a magical cruise, Susan!
    ~Tony
