How exciting Samantha!!!!!!! The wedding gazebo is one of my favorite spots for weddings at Walt Disney World. It is romantic and beautiful yet full of life with the surroundings. The Yacht Club is also one of my favorite resorts on property.
August in Florida is indeed very hot and humid. Please be aware of the afternoon rain and thunder showers that they have almost daily so you can plan the timing of the ceremony to hopefully avoid that extra moisture even though they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck! Who needs that added stress! I would suggest to have your grandmothers brought to the gazebo in wheelchairs so they don't' have to make the walk or they can also come through the back way of the resort. In any case have lots of water for all your guests and my suggestion would be to provide them will small battery fans as well. Suggest to all your guests that they wear light colored and light weight clothing that will keep them cool. If this is the best time for you to have the wedding then Disney will help you make it magical no matter what the weather has in store for that day!
Once you have booked and guaranteed your wedding date and place with the Disney Wedding coordinators and have made the appropriate deposits, you will then begin the final months preparation with your wedding coordinator/planner. Please click
HERE to see the timetable for this. Since wedding locations and times are on a first come basis please be sure you are aware of the exact date you can call to reserve your time. Please call the wedding planners at Disney to verify the day you will need to mark on your calendar.
What an exciting time for you. Again as the planning process begins in just a few months please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Having been through it all makes it that much more fun to help others have a magical day!!
