I am having to wait more than 3 hrs to have a virtual interview with a cast member to obtain a disability access pass. Any suggestions. I am trying to connect at 7 am tomorrow when they open.

Hey Howdy Hey Jane and welcome to planDisney!

I bet you are getting super excited or your trip coming up in a few short days! There is so much to celebrate and look forward to for a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in the spring and so many new ways to navigate the parks as well. One of the big ways has to do with Disney's Disability Access Service. Having the ability to get things activated before getting to the parks and then the ability to book your Disability Access Service (DAS) pass through your My Disney Experience are big game changers when it comes to park navigation.

As you have found out, you can submit for DAS Advanced Planning online and request a video interview with a Cast Member to qualify for this and DAS when in the parks. These opportunities book up quickly to speak with Cast Members online so you are right, my first suggestion would be to try and get this done as soon as the lines open at 7:00 a.m. EST. If you are still unable to do so, I would make sure to try and check back multiple times per day to see if the wait times are any less. Make sure that no matter which time you can get this interview, the primary person for DAS must be available for the video chat as well if it is not yourself.

If transfers and general mobility are issues for you or a member of your party, Disney has a great list of requirements for transfers and line navigation with all attractions throughout the park. This may help you get an idea of how to navigate and what to expect when getting ready for your experience at the attraction.

Also know, that if you are unable to get your interview with DAS Advanced Planning before your trip, you still have the option to qualify for DAS when in the parks. You would simply go to Guest Relations in any of the Theme Parks and request this service. As long as you are approved, you would be set as well as given access to make the DAS selections through your My Disney Experience app. This makes navigating the parks so much easier by having most of your planning opportunities available from your smart device!

Good luck with getting your interview and DAS Advanced Planning all set up. We cannot wait to welcome you to the Most Magical Place on Earth real soon! Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
