Hi Beth,
Your trip is so close & I know you're getting super excited!
Once you reach the
monthly calendar for DHS, you should be able to click on a specific date for the parade & fireworks schedules but I've heard of guests say that they've had problems not always being able to access it. I was happy to check the online calendar for Oct 4th - 8th for you & it looks like Fantasmic! is only performed on Oct 7th at 8 p.m. during those dates.
Fantasmic! has somewhat of a Fantasia theme but you will not feel like you're watching the movie. The 25-minute performance includes fireworks, laser lights, dancing water effects, lots of Disney songs, parade boats & 50 costumed performers.
It features Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice & he invokes beloved characters from Disney classics such as
Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Aladdin, The Lion King & many more. All goes well until the Evil Queen from
Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs turns Mickey's dreams into a nightmare & gathers classic villains like Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Scar, Jafar & Maleficent. Its then up to Mickey & the power of imagination to save the day.
Be sure to pick up a Times Guide as you enter the park to confirm performance times as they are always subject to change without notice. Because it is now only held on select evenings, Fantasmic! is a super popular show & guests begin lining up 60 - 90 minutes prior to showtime.
I will keep my fingers crossed you get to see Fantasmic! during your trip. The "stage" is unbelievable & this is one of my favorite nighttime performances at Disney World. I've often heard guests mistakenly call it "fantastic" - that's okay because it is! Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
