Hi Roger, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are less than a month away from your Walt Disney World vacation – how wonderfully exciting! Shades of Green is a beautiful and peaceful resort, and I think you're going to love it there.
Roger, because Shades of Green is not a Disney resort hotel,
linking your reservation to My Disney Experience works a little differently. First of all, the two reservations systems don’t “talk” to each other as seamlessly as when you’re staying in a Disney resort hotel and everything lives in the same system. Because of that, it can take a few days for My Disney Experience to recognize your Shades of Green reservation.
Another thing that sometimes causes issues for Shades of Green Guests is that the Shades of Green reservation always reflects the name of the eligible military member who made the reservation, so you’ll need to link that person to the reservation first in order for it to stick. Once you’ve done that, you should be able to add the rest of your party.
Roger, if you’ve tried both of these things and you’re still having trouble, please give the My Disney Experience Cast Members a call at (407) 939-4357. They are truly magical people with magical powers, and I know they can get you all set so you can focus on counting down to vacation time!
Have so much fun on your upcoming visit, Roger. My family stayed at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside earlier this year and we just loved the resort's gorgeous grounds and theming. Be sure to walk over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter for some pumpkin-flavored beignets. Enjoy an extra one for me, please!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
