Hello Carol, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting with members of your travel party. It looks like Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope are causing glitches again. I am sure that Fix-It Felix is on the way to solving the problem right now in the app. So while we wait on him to make his repairs, let’s try using
My Disney Experience on a computer or laptop.
You can connect with members of your travel party by adding them to your My Family & Friends list. Sign in to My Disney Experience and click on the “
My Family & Friends” tab. Scroll down to review the family members you are already connected with. To add someone to your list, click “
+Add a Guest” at the bottom of your list. Select how you would like to connect to them, the easiest way is to choose “
I’ll enter their name and age.” Enter their name exactly as it appears on their My Disney Experience account. After you enter their information choose that you want to “
Invite this Guest to connect” and enter their email address. You will see that your invitation is pending with that particular family member. Once they accept your invitation, you will receive a push notification in the online app.
There is another way that you can connect using the mobile app. If you are in the presence of a friend or family member you want to connect with, open the app and click the 3 horizontal lines in the lower right corner. Select
My Profile and scroll down to
Show My Linking Code. Confirm that you want to
Show My Linking Code. Let your friend Scan Your Linking Code in their app to add you to their list. Repeat as necessary until all Friends and Family are connected. Keep in mind that your QR code is only valid for 30 minutes.
If you are still having trouble getting connected you may need to reach out to the Cast Members at the My Disney Experience and MagicBands team at (407) 939-4357. They will be able to work their magic and resolve the issue for you.
