I am having trouble deciding which hotel to choose. it will be our first visit for my 12 and 13 year old children. We are considering the value resorts or moderate.. What would you recommend that would still excite middle schoolers.

    Hi Kara!

    This is a great question!

My favorite Disney Value Resort is Pop Century.  However, I think it will be replaced by the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  That is a brand new resort opening very soon and the concept art for it looks absolutely fantastic.  It will have the largest pool at Walt Disney World and what appears to be a fantastic food court.  I recommend considering Pop Century or the Art of Animation if you want to stay in a Value Resort.

My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  It is the second smallest Disney Moderate Resort (the smallest is Port Orleans French Quarter) and I think that helps a lot.  Port Orleans Riverside has a great pool that will appeal to most teenagers.  It has a relatively long water slide.  The resort is also beautifully themed; I especially love the Alligator Bayou section of the resort.  Finally, it has a nice boat service to Downtown Disney which is a lot of fun, especially at night.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
