Welcome to planDisney! There is nothing more magical than a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, except maybe finding a great deal or two along the way. While Disney does not offer senior discounts, there are several ways to make the most of your visit without breaking the bank! Here are some of my top tips for saving without sacrificing the fun!
First, let's talk
AAA discounts for Disney World. I did some checking, and it looks as if AAA members can receive special offers on theme park tickets. Yay! You will need to purchase these tickets directly through AAA, and their website will have the full details. They also offer discounts on special event tickets and to the must-see show,
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. It seems that AARP also offers discounts on theme park tickets too! You can check out both offers on the individual organizations' websites and determine which is the best deal for your crew.
Breanna, we found some deals on tickets, but what about hotels and dining, and super cute merchandise too? Before you book,
check out the Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World website! You can find some great discounts for Disney Resort hotel stays and Disney Vacation Packages. You may even be able to apply offers to a current reservation. And when it comes to saving in the parks, I have a few ways to keep your budget magical. If you have
a Disney Visa Card, you get dining and merchandise discounts throughout Walt Disney World. I have one of these cards and save quite a bit every trip. If you plan to visit more than once, or have big plans, this may be worth looking into! You can also find discounted
Disney Gift Cards at local retailers and wholesale clubs. These cards are typically sold at 5 to 10% off, which means you get more card for your money.
Okay, we talked about ways to save before you arrive, but there are some things you can do in the parks too. I am a huge fan of
sharing Quick Service meals and snacks. Food portions can be quite large, and if you and someone in your travel party have similar tastes, this can help you save and not feel super full before a ride on Space Mountain! I also want to mention that you can ask for complimentary cups of ice water at any of these locations, rather than purchasing bottles throughout your stay. You can also choose to have
groceries delivered to your resort hotel from your favorite shop, and bring your own snacks and meals to the parks! I hope these tips help you save a little (or a lot) on your upcoming adventure.
