Hi Tammy! Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your important question.
Firstly, I want to wish you all of the best with your surgery!
Secondly, I hope you are getting very excited about your trip. I will be visiting in February too and I can't wait! There will be so much going on when you visit, making it such a great time to go! The
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be going strong (until March 31, 2023) with all of its special offerings. Be sure to wave at the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection statues with your
MagicBand+ across the resort for some extra surprises! The
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will also be running when you go (January 13, 2023, to February 20, 2023) so definitely make time to check out the amazing artists throughout
EPCOT and participate in a variety of activities to let
your artistic side shine!
You'll be happy to hear that Guests are allowed to bring their own food and beverages with them into the theme parks. Please keep in mind that you cannot bring in glass containers or any outside alcohol. If you're planning on bringing a bag or cooler, it cannot be bigger than 24 inches long x 15 inches wide x 18 inches high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) and loose ice is not permitted. For more detailed information, you can check out the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. Please note that rules and regulations are subject to change.
As an additional tip, my friend
Amy A. suggests that if you are traveling with powdered shakes and a bottle, you can likely get ice water at most
quick-service restaurants so you don't have to worry too much about packing a case of drinks into the parks if this is an option for you!
Tammy, best wishes for your healing and have a wonderful vacation! Please
reach out to planDisney in the future if you have any additional questions. We make a great team and our goal is to help make each vacation as magical as possible!
Think happy thoughts,
Matt
