Hello there, Nina! Welcome to the wonderful world of planDisney! We are so excited that you’ve taken the time to reach out and allow us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Walt Disney World Resort does a phenomenal job providing services and assistance to Guests with all types of disabilities! As someone that experiences difficulties with mobility, I find these services so refreshing and incredibly helpful during my own visits!

Renting a wheelchair or Electrical Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) is an excellent option for many Guests that need some extra assistance while visiting Walt Disney World Resort! Both wheelchairs and ECVs may be rented by the day at all four theme parks, both water parks, and Disney Springs on a first-come, first-serve basis. Wheelchairs and ECVs rented from these locations may not be removed from the destination they were rented at, though, so using an outside provider may be the best fit for Guests that will need to use their device full-time.

At this time, Guests may rent through the Disney Featured Provider, ScooterBug, and have their device delivered to their Disney Resort hotel without being present. Cast Members will assist with the delivery and return of your device which can be quite helpful when you are in a rush! If you choose a different provider, you will need to be present for its delivery and return, though. When deciding which outside provider to rent from, this information may be something to consider!

If you are interested in looking into other areas of accessibility at Walt Disney World Resort, I highly recommend looking through the “Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities” webpage! This resource possesses a wealth of information including a guide that lists each attraction and its level of accessibility!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to reach back out if you have any other questions we can assist you with!
