We are having a professional family photo taken at Poly this coming October. My ? is. What time of day would be better for lighting. Morning or evening? One CM told me morning while another told me evening. Don't want pics ruined.

    Hi Johannah,

I've always wanted to try one of these photography sessions.  There are so many beautiful settings at Walt Disney World for backdrops, and the Polynesian sounds perfect!

Both cast members were correct.  Early morning or early evening are both ideal for taking photos outdoors.  Basically, you don't want to compete with the bright sun and the harsh shadows that can be cast.  You need to choose what will work best for your family.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
