We are having a large family gathering of 20 people. Some which have never met. We are looking for open areas to be able to introduce new babies to grandparents. We are wondering what you would recommend as meeting places?

    Hi Thomas,

Congratulations on your upcoming gathering at WDW.

I can think of a few locations that may help in your reunion.

At the Wilderness Lodge, there is a balcony on the second floor facing the front of the resort that is usually very private. This would be open to any weather elements though and extremely hot if the weather was warm.

Most of the lounges at the resorts are nearly empty during the late morning and early afternoon hours. Consider the following:
    Territory Lounge - Wilderness Lodge
    Martha's Vineyard - Beach Club
    Mizner's - Grand Floridian

Or scope out a lounge at your resort.

A public space that is often uncrowded is the Beach Club's solarium. I love sitting here for a respite!

Do not hesitate to contact your Resort's Concierge for suggestions as well.

    Happy reunion!
