Hey Howdy Hey James and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you for stopping by with your question about
Memory Maker. The usage of this product is usually so easy it can often be concerning because of how easy it is to use. I will be happy to give you a little more insight into its usage.
After you purchase Memory Maker, the first thing you are going to want to do is to make sure it is linked to your
My Disney Experience account. You can do this by logging in and going to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and looking for the heading "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" which you will click on. Once there, you should see the full list of theme park tickets you have on your account and the members of the party they are assigned to. If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you should see a section titled "Memory Maker Purchases". As long as it is linked to your account, you should see it here. You should also see an option to link it to your account from the confirmation email you should have gotten with its purchase if it is not linked already. If you see Memory Maker listed there and you are yet to go on your trip, my friend you are all set!
Once you return from your trip is where the Magic happens. All of the pictures that you take during your trip should pop up on your account. You can find your photos either online through your My Disney Experience account by rolling your cursor over the My Disney Experience logo on the top right of your screen and selecting "My Photos" or through the
My Disney Experience app by selecting the 3 horizontal lines on the bottom right and taping on the "Photos" tile to access your photos. Once there, you should have the option to download your photos without an issue and the fact that this option is available to you without prompts for any further purchase is the "activation" of your Memory Maker. You will have access to these photos for a limited time once Memory Maker is activated, but you will be prompted on the specific dates as you move through these steps and will be reminded by your My Disney Experience app.
As long as you purchased Memory Maker, make sure to get the most out of it on your trip. There are so many unique ways to commemorate your trip and so many unique themed pictures to take advantage of. Some of my favorites are
Super Zoom Magic Shots available in all 4 theme parks at select locations as well as the
Classic and Animated Magic Shots. With the Classic and Animated Magic Shots, find Disney PhotoPass Photographers throughout all 4 theme parks and ask about Magic Shots. They will set you up in specific poses and you will find special characters Magically appearing in your pictures online! All photographers have different character access to make sure to take pictures often!
Best of luck getting the most out of Memory Maker and please feel free to stop back with any questions you may have, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
