Galactic greetings, Colin, and welcome to
planDisney!
It sounds like you recently traveled to
a galaxy far, far away, and had the chance to enjoy the extraordinary experience of building a custom lightsaber at
Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers! My son built his own legendary lightsaber a couple years ago, and I was able to attend as his Guest. I was in awe the entire time! I hope you also had the experience of a lifetime!
Like you, my son started having issues with his lightsaber a few weeks after he bought it. We did some investigating, and discovered that he needed to change the three AAA batteries that power the lightsaber. Here are some instructions to help you check your batteries, too, in case this could be of help: First, look for the cylindrical battery pack in the bottom of the chassis – it’s hidden by the pommel cap. You’ll see that the pommel cap attaches to the bottom of the hilt. So, you’ll need to remove the cap and the attachment holding the battery pack in place. Next, you’ll slide the pack out, replace the batteries, reinsert the pack and the attachment, and place the pommel cap back on the hilt. I'm crossing my fingers this may help you!
If this still doesn’t do the trick, I recommend calling
Merchandise Guest Services for additional help. You can reach them at (877) 560-6477 on Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern. Just like the Force, the Cast Member you speak with should be able to guide you from there.
I can’t wait for your lightsaber’s Kyber Crystal to glow brightly once again, Colin! May the Force be with you!
As they say on Batuu, ‘Til the Spire!
