Hi Ronald!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. This is such a timely question, a few weeks ago we celebrated my husband's birthday at Walt Disney World, and I had a
personalized cake delivered to him during dinner at his favorite Italian restaurant -
Trattoria al Forno. Like you, I encountered a few bumps while ordering, but the result was magical!
If you want to preorder your cake, please call (407) 827-2253. Once you call, be patient (!) and listen to all of the location options. There will be a numerical digit associated with your
Resort hotel location. Once you choose that, you will be forwarded to the specific kitchen's voicemail. There you can leave a message detailing your birthday celebration, date of delivery, etc. A Cast Member will return your call within 24 hours and help you plan your cake delivery. When I left my original message, I didn't hear back for a few days. I called again and left another message. Within minutes a Cast Member called saying how glad they were that I called back as my first message had cut off my telephone number - whew! Crisis averted! You can also order a cake delivery when you arrive by touching
Dining Options on your Resort room phone, or with the
Resort Concierge.
I ordered a custom carrot cake with white chocolate Donald Duck for my husband, and your options are limitless! The baker had super delightful suggestions and sprinkled Pixie Dust on the cake decor. For custom cakes, make sure to call at least 72 hours in advance, or you can order a same-day
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake for delivery to select Walt Disney World
restaurants.
Another fun option is celebration cupcakes!
Disney Floral & Gifts offers
delightful birthday celebrations, and
Sprinkles cupcakes will also deliver to your Resort hotel. For an extra special treat, consider the
Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette's Patisserie. You and your Birthday Pal can create an edible work of art and enjoy it later at the Hotel. I consider this a win-win - a cake and a birthday gift rolled into one!
Ronald, I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back.
