We are having a hard time planning our gg of 12 breakfast for our 1st day at MK on March 16th 2009. We are deciding between early entry at crystal pallace or Chef Mickeys. Getting in early sounds great but CM is fun for the 1st timers. What would u do?

I think either restaurant would work well as long as you do not schedule to dine during park touring time. The morning is the best time to get to your Must See attractions!

Let's look at the logistics -

The Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m.

    Chef Mickey's begins breakfast at 7:00 a.m.
Crystal Palace begins at 8:00 a.m.

The high-energy at Chef Mickey's is definitely a good time for first-time visitors. If you choose this restaurant, I would try to dine around 7:30 a.m. and then walk to the Magic Kingdom to be there at park opening for the Opening Ceremony. This is a great way to begin your day!

For a Crystal Palace breakfast with the Hundred Acre Wood pals, I would schedule the first seating. It's definitely a memorable experience to walk down Main Street prior to park opening but you will miss the park opening ceremony. However, this makes for a more relaxing morning. Yet I am a little concerned that with such a large party that you might not be out by 9 a.m.

If you have any elementary school age kids in your party, it might help to know that my 8 year old son just put in a vote for Chef Mickey's. He says "I like waving the napkins".
