I am having a hard time picking a place to stay. I am looking at Animal Kingdom, Wilderness ledge, and Caribbean. I have 2 girls ages 4 and 5. I want to know which one would suit us best (location, food, pool, size) please help

    Hi Jennifer ~

All of the resorts at Walt Disney World are fabulous and everyone has their favorites. I have stayed at each of the resorts that you are trying to decide between for your trip.

When my boys were those ages, they wanted to spend most of their theme park time at the Magic Kingdom. It was really convenient to stay at a hotel with easy access to the Magic Kingdom. With that in mind, I would choose Disney's Wilderness Lodge. You can take a boat directly to the Magic Kingdom. It is close enough to go back to your room for naps or to swim.

The Silver Creek Springs Pool and waterslide are currently undergoing a refurbishment but should reopen in the next few weeks. It is an awesome pool and my boys loved it.

The food options at the Wilderness Lodge are nice too. Roaring Fork is a nice quick service location and my boys are always able to find something there there like. They also love Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is a table service location so reservations are highly recommended. You can take a boat over to the Contemporary Resort where there are other great food options including Chef Mickey's. From the Contemporary Resort you can grab a monorail and head to the Polynesian Village Resort or the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Easy access to so many wonderful food options!

There are lots of recreational options at the Wilderness Lodge to keep your girls entertained. It is a quick boat ride over to Fort Wilderness that offers tons of recreation activities as well. We loved being able to see the Electrical Water Pageant each night.

Honestly, I could spend hours just sitting in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. It is amazing!

Please feel free to visit again with any other questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
