We're having a hard time deciding which budget or moderate hotel to stay at in August. It's us & our 8 year old boy. What do you suggest? We want a FUN pool & a room close to the food court & lobby. Thanks so much! Angela -Hannibal, MO

In the budget resort category, just remember that the pools will not have water slides. However, they are nicely themed. For your son, I would recommend All Star Sports or All Star Movies. To guarantee a room near the food court and lobby, you will need to book a preferred room. These rooms cost a little bit more but the convenience is worth it to many guests.

For a moderate resort, I would recommend Port Orleans Riverside or Coronado Springs Resort. Riverside has a rustic pool with a slide and other water features. Coronado has a pool that sits by a pyramid. The slide is the longest of the moderates and has a Jaguar that spits water at kids. At both of these resorts it will be important to request a building close to the food court and have it noted on your reservation. These resorts are very large but offer wonderful amenities. Usually I would recommend the Caribbean Beach Resort but the themed pool is under rehab until September.

    Magical wishes!
