Having a hard time chosing between the cabins at FW or the AOA family suite. AoA seems far from everything and we like to be closer to MK. But, Do the cabins have a pool area? Family of 3 our daughter will be 5.

    Hi Erica!

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World.  If I had to choose between Fort Wilderness and Art of Animation, I would absolutely go with Fort Wilderness.  There are so many fun family activities to do at "The Fort" and the location could not be more convenient!  You just hop on a ferry boat right on over to the Magic Kingdom!

Fort Wilderness has two pools to choose from.  The main pool has a large swimming pool with fun slide as well as a kids splash area with fun water features and a pair of small slides.  This area is also home to Chip n' Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long, which occurs nightly and is SO MUCH FUN!

Your family can also watch the nightly Electrical Water Pageant from the marina at Fort Wilderness.

I do love Art of Animation though.  I love that the resort is themed after Disney movie characters.  The colors are vibrant, the suites are adorable, but the charm of Fort Wilderness gets me every time.

    Have a magical day!
