Hi, Harley! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Whenever I visit the
Walt Disney World Resort, I am always impressed by the Cast Members' willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of their guests. This includes guests who have
special dietary needs. Since I am not sure exactly what your post-operative dietary restrictions will be, it might be best for you to contact Walt Disney World Resort's Special Diets team. You can email the Special Diets team at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com to explain your dietary restrictions and inquire about what accommodations can be made for you at various
Walt Disney World Resort restaurants.
Harley, you are also more than welcome to bring your own blended food with you into the
theme parks if that would be easier for you. According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, guests are always permitted to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the parks. However, please keep in mind that glass containers (excluding small containers such as baby food jars) are prohibited. If you will need to bring a cooler into the theme parks to store your food, your cooler should not be larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Also, loose or dry ice is not permitted in coolers. You may keep your food cool with re-usable ice packs or put your ice inside zipper-style storage bags.
Wishing you a successful surgery, a quick recovery, and a magical Walt Disney World Resort visit!
Samantha
