Hi Jennifer!
When it comes to Disney, who isn’t a huge fan of Frozen and their characters?! Anna is my favorite of the sisters too! Disneyland Resort has a new area in Disney California Adventure Park called
Frozen Fun! You can meet Anna and Elsa with less of a wait time if you use their
virtual standby line. Return time tickets are distributed at their “home” in Hollywood Land as soon as the park opens. Have your park ticket on hand to secure your return time!
This will help save time waiting in line!
Now for the other half of your question! My 6 year old son is autistic as well. He LOVES Cars Land but it can be overstimulating. Our first stop is the
Guests with Disabilities area of the website. Once at the parks, I go to Guest Relations and ask for the Disability Access Service. It’s a great resource and you can read all about their
accommodations for autism and cognitive disabilities on the site as well!
I also bring noise canceling headphones because the crowd can be loud and over stimulating. When he gets overwhelmed we find quiet areas of the parks to relax. Our favorite ride to go on (over and over and over) is
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure in California Adventure. It’s cool, dark and soothing. Perfect to recharge for the more stimulating rides afterward.
Let me know if you have any more questions! See you real soon!
