We'll be having our first DCL on 4/11 and we are wondering if we can leave our 9 y/o and 4 y/o at the ship and do youth programs while on port? thanks!

    Hi Jansen,

Congratulations on booking your first Disney Cruise!  You are absolutely permitted to let your kids have all the fun onboard while you explore the ports of call.  The children should be signed-in to the youth programming, and I would be sure to let the counselors know that you will be leaving the ship.  The more information you can give them (where you are headed and when you might be back onboard) the better.  If you have a cell phone, I would leave that with them as an alternate contact method in the event of an emergency, as the pagers have a limited range from the ship.

    Have a great time!
