We are having a family vacation in WDW this late April/beginning May and I am trying to see if I can get a baptism planned for my DD who will already be turning 1. We are Lutheran is there anyway to make this happen. Thank you!

    Hi Krista,

Families celebrate many special occasions at Walt Disney World -- weddings, anniversaries, vow renewals, family reunions, birthdays, quinceaneras and more. I don't know anyone, though, who has had a baptism there.

My first inclination is to suggest that you call either Guest Relations (407-939-5277) or the Disney wedding specialists (321-939-4610) to ask if your ceremony is possible.

Guest Relations handles all sorts of special requests and should be able to direct you to someone who can help or who can tell you if it's not feasible. I suggest the wedding folks because they would have experience with religious wedding ceremonies and might have insight on other religious rites.

For good measure, I checked with a Lutheran pastor friend in Orlando to see if he had any thoughts for you. He also suggested that you work through a Disney guest relations specialist or special events planner.

I hope that gives you a starting point for planning your visit. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help. Enjoy!
