Welcome to planDisney, Eunice! Thanks so much for sending us your question. I will do my best to help.
I know time with family can be so important and having a reunion at
The Happiest Place on Earth sounds fun! Visiting the theme parks has become very popular now that the Disneyland Resort has reopened. Because
Theme Park Reservations are required, everyone in your travel party will need a reservation in addition to the
theme park ticket for each day that you would like to visit
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park. I just checked the calendar for
Theme Park Reservation Availability on April 21st. At this time, there is availability showing for Disney California Adventure Park for guests that have a park hopper ticket. This calendar is updated in real-time and it is possible that availability could open up for Disneyland Park if there are cancellations by other guests. I would suggest checking the calendar and if you see availability, it will be important to act quickly to secure the theme park reservations you want. The Theme Park Reservations, along with theme park tickets, will be the only way to enter the theme parks. Unfortunately, there is no waitlist or way to appeal to enter the theme parks. I'm so sorry. I know this is not the answer you are hoping for.
If you are not successful, my suggestion would be to have your family try to have a meal together somewhere in the
Downtown Disney District or at one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Tickets aren't required for entrance at those locations and you could try to make an
advanced dining reservation based on the dining location you prefer and the number of people.
I'm wishing you luck, faith, trust, and pixie dust in getting the theme park reservations, and hope that your family can spend time together.
Best,
Lisa
