We are having a family reunion with 16 people (ages: 3 - Grandparents). We only can do one dining unfortunately.. Should we do Chef Mickey's or Cape May Cafe?

Hi Jocelyn! Wow this brings back memories from my own family reunions with 16 people! Now my own children are grown with their families and they are returning each year for a Disney experience!

My choice for a great character experience would be Chef Mickey's. It is the best place for everyone to meet and greet most of the famous Disney characters while dining at the Contemporary resort. I suggest the breakfast over the dinner menu if possible. It can be quite noisy which is the only drawback to me. Cape May Cafe is far more calm and quiet so if you feel that is a better setting for the family then choose it as it too is a very good buffet and choice.  Sometimes it comes down to where do you want to be that day...Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Studios, or Animal Kingdom. For Magic Kingdom choose Chef Mickey and for Epcot or the Studios choose Cape May to make life easier for the entire group when traveling to and from.

Let me know what else I can do to help you plan this great family reunion! I can share some of the great games and seating ideas we put to use that made our vacations super successful!
