I am having elbow replacement surgery in October but for now the doctor has me in a brace to just keep the elbow protected. I can take it off. Can I ride the rides and Rollercoaster with it on.

Hey Howdy Hey Gelene and welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited that you will be visiting us here in the Most Magical Place on Earth real soon! I bet you all are super excited about your upcoming trip as there is so much going on right now in Walt Disney World Resort to look forward to! I am sorry that you are having elbow issues that may impact your visit, so let's go over a few recommendations I have to better help you plan your trip.

The first thing that I would highly encourage you to do is talk to your doctor about your situation and any recommendations they may provide when it comes to attractions. I would say, for the most part, many attractions throughout Walt Disney World do not involve a heavy demand on your arms other than holding on! This is especially true when it comes to the more thrilling attractions. You would be able to experience the attractions in Walt Disney World with the elbow brace on but it would be your judgment and decision-making if it would cause any extra pain which may impact the rest of your trip. You might want to stay away from attractions such as Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney's Animal Kingdom as this does have a heavier demand on your arms than other attractions.

One area that will have minimum requirements on your arms but is sure to be an experience you will want to check out is over in EPCOT. EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will be in full swing during your trip. There will be so many great seasonal food and drink offerings at locations throughout the park as well as many great entertainment options you can enjoy. Follow along with the Foodie Guide at Disney Parks Blog to make your way through many delicious offerings through the park.

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip and I hope your surgery and recovery go well. If you have any further questions regarding your vacation, please stop back and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
