We are having dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian at 7:05 our first night at DW...Wishes is at 8pm.. is it possible to see the fireworks from the Grand Floridian or somewhere close by?

    Hi Martha,

You can get a really good view of the "Wishes" fireworks at the Grand Floridian boat dock (this is my favorite place to watch them from at this resort although there are other spots available to view them.....I find this spot to be the most magical).  I do think however, that if you have a reservation at 7:05pm there is a likelihood that you may get in a little later than that sometimes as a table may not be available right at that time but they do try their best to get you in as close to your time as possible).  This has been my experiences anyways and sometimes I have even gotten in a bit before my scheduled time, but my point is that there is not much leeway in your time-line to greet all of the characters, take pictures and get autographs, really enjoy your meal (and it's a good one here.....many wonderful choices) and all in less than an hour in order to walk out to the boat dock (which takes about 5 minutes) to view "Wishes".   For the price that you pay for these Dining Experiences I would definitely not rush this wonderful dinner in order to see the fireworks on your first night there.  I think you are at the start of your vacation and even though I am not sure how long you will be there, I do think you will have many other opportunities to see these wonderful lights in the sky on another one of your evenings and enjoy your dinner to the fullest on your first evening.  I hope you have a magical time whatever you decide to do!

    Best wishes,
