    We are having breakfast at Crystal Palace on my mother's birthday, I'm interested in getting her a cake but don't want it during breakfast. We will spend the rest of the day at AK any ideas how I can go about this. Staying at Pop Century!

    Hi Dawn! What a great day your family will have celebrating your mom's birthday at Walt Disney World. It will be truly magical!

    You have a couple of options to make sure your mom receives her special birthday cake. Almost all table service restaurant locations in the parks and resorts have a standard 6-inch chocolate or vanilla cake available.  Should you choose to eat at Tusker House or at Yak & Yeti while visiting the Animal Kingdom, you should be able to simply let the cast member at the podium know of your occasion and your cake request and they can add it to your meal. (Subject to availability, of course.)  Should you decide to wait until you return to Disney's Pop Century Resort, you are also able to purchase one of the standard cakes at the Everything Pop Shopping and Dining location.  (Again, subject to availability.)

    If you have the budget to spend a little extra , I highly recommend calling the Cake-Ordering Hotline to speak with one of their experts about designing a custom creation.   They can be reached at (407) 827-2253.  Experts will guide you in creating a specially made cake for your mom, incorporating her favorite characters, colors and more.  Usually, they are even able to deliver the masterpiece straight to the resort you are staying at.  I was completely impressed with the service, design, and value.
