Hi! I have a a reservation for my family and I on June 9th. I would like to know a little more about the process. Will there be a long wait to enter the park? Also, how will parking work? Is there preferred parking we can pay for and do you have flash pass

    Hey Howdy Hey, Cole!

Welcome to planDisney, we’re so happy to have you visiting us today. Yee-Haw! Your visit to Disneyland Resort is right around the corner. You must be so ready to ride like the wind, as you journey through the parks.

As far as arriving for your visit, I’ll be happy to share some tips that work for my family. First, you will want to head over to the Mickey & Friends or Pixar Pals Parking Structure. You will be able to park 30 minutes before the earliest standard Disneyland Resort theme park opening time. I highly recommend arriving at the parking structure at that time. That way you have plenty of time to park, and make your way to the Theme Parks, in time for the opening. Cole, you do have the option to upgrade to a preferred parking spot. A preferred spot is incredibly nice to have after a long day of walking.

After parking, as soon as the parking structure opens, you will have the chance to open the park, or Rope Drop, it. Rope Dropping is something my family always enjoys doing. We find that we can enjoy more attractions earlier in the day. Keep in mind, wait times and lines may appear to be longer because of social distancing. Don’t worry though, Cole, you will find your way into the park in no time.

Cole, I hope this helps give you a general idea of what to expect when visiting this week. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Have a Magical Time!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
