I haven't gotten our luggage tags for a July cruise. I read the port will have tags but we will take Disney Cruise shuttle to the port from the MCO hotel and I heard they pick up our bags from the hotel straight to the stateroom. What should I do

    Welcome, Karen!

Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just on the horizon, how exciting! I can completely relate to wanting everything organized ahead of time and appreciate your question regarding the critical logistics of ensuring your luggage greets you in your stateroom.

On my recent two sailings, luggage tags arrived in the mailbox just a few weeks ahead of our sail date so yours may still be on the way! Look for an approximately 5” x 7” rigid envelope from Disney Cruise Line. If they arrive on time, I suggest keeping these tags inside your carry-on bag for the flight to Orlando. Then when you arrive at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, you can remove the airline tags and put on the Disney Cruise Line tags. This ensures that the barcodes scanned along each route are the correct ones and that the cruise tags don’t get damaged on the flight.

If you don’t get this magical mailing before you head to Florida, hakuna matata! The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is a wonderful partner of Disney Cruise Line and can provide new luggage tags for you upon arrival. These luggage tags have your name and room number on them to be sure they meet you in your stateroom onboard. With the port transfer service from this hotel, you don’t have to worry and can let Disney handle the details. Should you have any additional questions or concerns that morning, the team onsite will surely answer them as they work with Guests every day heading to Port Canaveral for special cruises. They will proactively provide details on port transportation and timing of baggage pick-up when you check in.

My family has enjoyed a stay here before a cruise, and it’s wonderfully convenient! Located inside the main airport terminal, there’s no further transportation from the airport after landing. This was especially useful when we arrived late the night before a cruise. It’s a beautiful, well-appointed hotel and I know you’ll be well rested before your adventure begins!

Please be sure that you've added ground transportation to your reservation; this is not a complimentary routine shuttle but a reserved private transfer with a per-person fee. I love this smooth ride to the coast so I can slip into vacation mode right away and leave the driving to Disney.

I hope this gives you peace of mind in thinking ahead to those final details before you sail. Please don’t hesitate to ask us anything else that would help you have the most magical cruise ever!

    Wishing you smooth sailing,
    Amy
