I haven't gone yet and am thinking of next vacay! If you rent DVC points and buy park tix, are you eligible for free DDP if it comes up?Can you rent DVC points and buy a package through Disney? Not sure how that works and would need to start saving now. TIA

    Hello, Kelly!

    Thanks for asking your questions!

Regarding using Disney Vacation Club points of any kind, you will not be eligible for free Dining Plan offers. However, Disney Vacation Club Members can add on the Dining Plan at an additional cost, as long as they add it to their reservation at least 48 hours prior to check-in.  Payment in full is due at that time. At the time of this writing, the traditional Dining Plan (one Table-Service, one Quick-Service, one snack per person, per night, plus one resort-refillable mug per person) can be added to a DVC reservation for $51.54 per night, per Guest ages 10+. (This does not include gratuities on Table-Service meals.) Disney Dining Plans must be purchased for every night of your stay in a DVC resort, and must be purchased for all guests on the reservation.

Once you have your resort reservations taken care of, you can simply purchase your park passes; we prefer to purchase our park tickets at Walt Disney World.com's online ticketing window.  If you are looking to budget your vacation, take a look at current pricing, and consider that these prices do tend to go up from time to time, so budget accordingly.  Keep in mind, too, that adding additional days to your Park Tickets will add minimal cost to your total; take a look at the site to estimate your additional costs, should you choose to add an extra day or so onto your Walt Disney World vacation.

Please send me any additional questions you may have as you plan your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! I'd love to help!
