We haven't been to Disneyworld since 2000. We plan on coming in April 2015 Do you suggest a hopper ticket or can you see 1 park a day? Also how many days would you suggest for our trip? Ages of kids...6,10,12,13,15 Thank you

    Hi Donna:

    Welcome back.

For families traveling with younger or older members, I generally do not advise on Park Hopper tickets.  There is so much walking at Disney World and so much to see at every Park that it can be tough on younger, or even older, family members to hop from Park to Park.  Park Hoppers can be useful if you are adventurous and energetic enough to run from Park to Park throughout the day.  They also can be useful if you plan to eat a lot of meals inside the Parks.  For example, my family enjoys eating at Epcot's World Showcase.  If we visit at different Park besides Epcot that day, we'll need a Park Hopper ticket to enter Epcot to eat dinner.  But in general, I think Park hopping just for rides and attractions can be exhausting for some family members.

Every family is different.  For my family, I would love to have seven days at Disney World, two days at Magic Kingdom, two days at Epcot, one day at Hollywood Studios, one day at Animal Kingdom, and one day relaxing by the pool and shopping at Downtown Disney.  Seven days is not always possible, but if you can try to get in at least four days, you should be able to enjoy a wide variety of attractions and experiences.

    Enjoy your vacation.
