I haven't been to Disney World since 2014, is Disney Quest in what used to be Downtown Disney gone?

    Hi Becky!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

Over the past few years, the area formerly known as Downtown Disney has been going through a transformation into what is now known as Disney Springs. Disney Springs is an amazing waterside dining, shopping and entertainment district at Walt Disney World Resort.

As part of this transformation, Disney Quest, an interactive indoor theme park, closed its doors in July 2017 to make way for a basketball-themed venue - The NBA Experience at Walt Disney World Resort. This immersive NBA experience will surely be a favorite destination for basketball fans, with lots of fun hands-on activities, a restaurant and a retail store to enjoy. This fall, the Disney Parks Blog gave guests a first look at the NBA Experience, set to open in the summer of 2019.

If you haven't visited Walt Disney World Resort since 2014, you're going to be amazed at all of the awesome new attractions, restaurants, and more! This summer, Disney's Hollywood Studios will open a new highly-anticipated expansion to the park - Toy Story Land. I can't wait to ride the new Slinky-Dog Dash family coaster, and the Alien Swirling Saucers!

Thanks again for stopping by - have a magical day! - Diane W.
