Hello there, Laura, and welcome back to planDisney! It looks like your last question was about celebrating your son's 16th birthday in the parks - I hope you all had a fantastic trip!
I'm definitely glad you're planning ahead for your next visit with this question. There are some pretty specific list of prohibited items that are not allowed in the Disneyland Resort - especially when it comes to filming equipment.
Since I don't have the specifics of what you're hoping to bring to the parks, I figured I'd point you to all the resources on the Disneyland website that specifically detail what you can and cannot bring in. First, the
Park Rules and Regulations page is helpful as it covers a wide array of prohibited items and mentions that "selfie sticks, hand-held extension poles for camera or mobile devices" are not allowed. Meanwhile, on the
Permitted Items FAQ page, it says that "folding tripod stands or monopod stands that can fit inside a standard backpack are permitted."
If you have a non-extending stabilizing handle for your camera that can fit into a standard park bag, it sounds like you should be all set. Though keep in mind that the permitted items list is always subject to change and at the discretion of the Cast Members and security team at the entrances. If you still have specific questions on this topic, I'd recommend reaching out to a
Cast Member at the Guest Information line - they're always so helpful!
Thank you again for your question, Laura! I hope you have such a fun trip to the Disneyland Resort later this year. Make sure to come back and see us here at planDisney if you think of any follow-ups. We'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
