I hav friends in my Friends and Family list who I need to add to my travel group so I can manage their plans. How do I do this?

Hi Matthew! Welcome back to planDisney! It’s so great to see you again!

It looks like you are planning yet another fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Well, I bet this time will be better than ever, given that you will be visiting during Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration! Be sure to keep an eye out for the golden sculptures of your favorite Characters located all around the parks as a part of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection. Then, for a fun little game as you walk around, have your group keep track and see who can be the first to spot all 50 characters! The winner gets a DOLE Whip, which is the greatest prize of all if you ask me!

I’d be happy to help you get your party all linked up in your My Disney Experience account. Luckily, it really is as easy as can be! All you’ll need to do is follow these simple steps:

    • To get started, you’ll first want to have your group log into their own My Disney Experience app and open the menu by clicking on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Once there, they will need to scroll down and click on "My Profile," and select "Show My Linking Code." Then, finally, have them jot down the six-character manual code and send it your way.
    • Once you have their manual linking code, open your own My Disney Experience app and navigate to "My Profile."
    • Then, toggle over to "Family & Friends List" and scroll down to select "Add a Guest." Next, click on "Scan their linking code," then "Manually Enter a Code," submit, and you are all set! Easy peasy, right?

Now, it is important to note that the manual linking codes are only valid for 30 minutes each, so I recommend scheduling a time with each party member, so you can complete the steps above together to make sure the codes don’t expire.

Once your whole group is linked up, don't forget that you will need to make sure to secure your Park Pass Reservations. As a reminder, you'll need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you've purchased the Park Hopper Option, you can hop over to another park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. Unfortunately, some parks do get booked up, so I would definitely recommend securing your reservations as soon as possible to ensure you can visit all of your preferred parks.

I do hope this answer has been helpful to you. Please feel free to visit us again with any other Walt Disney World vacation planning questions you may have!

    See you real soon!
