When will Haunted Mansion Holiday close in 2027? When will the original Haunted Mansion reopen?

Greetings, Monica, and welcome to planDisney! The Haunted Mansion is such an iconic attraction at Disneyland Park, and I love that it transforms each year with an overlay themed to The Nightmare Before Christmas. Both versions of the attraction are so much fun!

We know that Haunted Mansion Holiday will be available at least through the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort, which ends January 6, 2027. The exact date the attraction will close has not been announced. It could be right around the date the holiday festivities end or a little later in the month. In past years, it was closed for around a week and a half (give or take a few days) before reopening in its classic form.

I wish I could give you specific dates to help with your planning, but it's just a little early. We likely won't know more details until information is added to the Hours & Events Calendar. It's updated on a rolling basis to show entertainment times, park hours, and scheduled refurbishments as far as six weeks out. Check the "Day View" of the calendar in early to mid-December to see which dates in January the Haunted Mansion will be closed for refurbishment. You can also periodically check for updates on the attraction webpage or the Disney Parks Blog.

There's a lot more excitement to look forward to in 2027. Beloved entertainment offerings will be returning, including the “Magic Happens” parade, the “Remember… Dreams Come True” nighttime spectacular, and an updated take on the original “World of Color” show! The Lunar New Year festivities and the Disney California Food & Wine Festival are also scheduled to return.

Monica, if you think of any more questions as you plan a trip and count down the days, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
