Hi there! I hate asking questions like this, but if I split up a party of 4 and two separate dining reservations for 2 people each, what are the chances they could sear us together? There are no reservations available for parties of 4 where want to eat.

Hiya Alex and welcome to planDisney!

One of the many things that make the Walt Disney World Resort feel like The Most Magical Place on Earth to me is the food! Advanced Dining Reservations are one of my favorite parts of the trip. I usually plan the best ones for dinner so my travel party can regroup and talk about all of the adventures of the day. Let's figure out the best way for your party to party together!

You can absolutely try to book 2 parties for the same time slot and ask if it's possible to be seated together or at least near each other. Just have another member of your dining party make the second reservation. If going this route, I would definitely recommend arriving early and speaking with a Cast Member. If there's availability they may be able to accommodate you.

Now, more importantly, you may be having trouble finding availability at the restaurant you want because it's too early to make reservations! Guests can make Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days prior to your arrival date. Your window for your September trip won't open until July. You may just find that your problem isn't a problem at all. Like our fairy friend, Fauna, I just love happy endings!

Alex, I hope I've been able to help you on your planning journey. In the meantime, when your window for booking does open up, be sure to grab a seat at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. You're sure to leave with a full belly and light on your feet from those moonshine cocktails. If you have any other questions please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
