Hiya Connie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney! I’m so happy to be able to help you today!
How excited are you to have booked a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort? Isn’t it thrilling when you finally book that vacation you have been dreaming of and can start crossing off those days on your calendar? I know I love having a visit to Walt Disney World to look for to, so I’m just so happy for you, Connie!
Unfortunately, Walt Disney World no longer offers maps or planning guides to be sent via mail ahead of your visit. I know this may not have been the answer you were hoping for, but I do have an alternative that I think will work really well for you! To familiarize yourself with the park map before you arrive, I definitely recommend checking out the awesome interactive map available in your
My Disney Experience app. With this map, you can scroll around to explore the entire Walt Disney World Resort property, and you can also get precise, turn-by-turn directions to help you navigate anywhere within Walt Disney World. I consider myself a pretty seasoned Disney expert, but I’ll admit that I still use the map feature a few times during each visit. So, I highly recommend checking it out!
To access the map, simply open your My Disney Experience app, and click on the location icon on the bottom menu bar (the second icon from the left). From there, you can use the filter tool on the top left corner to pick the theme park you would like to see and the list on the right corner to view the attractions within that park. You can also click on the individual attraction and scroll down to "Get Directions" to get the step-by-step directions from point A to point B. You can also use the search icon in the menu bar to search where you want to go anywhere on Walt Disney World property. You'll see that same helpful "Get Directions" button to help get you where you are going!
Once you arrive for your vacation, the front desk at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel will have printed maps for you if you’d still like one. You can also find maps near the entrance to each theme park and also at Disney Springs.
Connie, did you know that your visit lines up with the
2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! You are in for such a treat, literally!
The Global Marketplaces throughout EPCOT offer delicious cuisine from all over the world. There are sure to be some items you have never tried before that I promise will blow you away! I recommend skipping an
Advanced Dining Reservation for either lunch or dinner during one day of your trip to instead enjoy some food around the world at the festival. The outdoor kitchens serve small, grab-and-go portions, so be sure to try at least a few menu items. Do keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blogs for updates on the festival before heading out for your trip, including their handy Foodie Guide, which breaks down the entire festival menu. It’s definitely helpful to have an idea of what you want to try before you arrive!
I do hope this has been helpful! If you have any other vacation planning questions, please do revisit here at planDisney! We would absolutely love to help you make the move of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
See you real soon!
