Hi and Happy.New Year. My question was what is the difference between Epcot future world and Epcot world showcase? I see it having different hours for entrance the time that we go. Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hi Mercy,

So excited to know you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort in just a few months. I am sure you are counting down the days!

Walt Disney developed a concept for an Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (EPCOT), in which he imagined how a future city would be like. His idea was eventually made reality into two main areas. Future World gives you a glimpse of the future with incredible attractions across different lands. And World Showcase lets you travel around the world to 11 different countries, which represent their cultures and allow you to enjoy some of their amazing cuisine. Park hours differ between Future World and World Showcase, with the latter one opening at a later time. Both areas close at the same time in the evening.

One last tip: if you are staying at select hotels, you may be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, when one of the Theme Parks opens up to one hour early or closes up to two hours later. This gives you more time to experience your favorite attractions with little or no wait. See you real soon!
