    Happy New Year! I am trying to surprise my family with a deluxe vacation in December. Which deluxe hotel would you suggest? I am torn between Poly, Contemporary, and Beach Club. Our kids will be 4, 6, and 8. I am hoping for a magical holiday trio!

    Hi Jamee!

       Those are three awesome Deluxe Resorts in Walt Disney World!  I have stayed at the Contemporary and Beach Club and they are both incredible. I also eat quite frequently at the restaurants in the Polynesian Resort, so I am very familiar with that Resort as well.  I would recommend choosing the Polynesian first and the Beach Club second.  Here are the reasons why I am making this recommendation for you:

    The Polynesian
    1. It is on the Monorail Resort Loop and only one stop away from the Magic Kingdom (this is very important when you have younger kids because Magic Kingdom is usually the kid's favorite park)
    2. It has the Nanea Volcano Pool with a water slide that is right on the side of the volcano
    3. The incredible Polynesian theme of the Resort and rooms
    4. Two great sit down restaurants and an awesome quick service restaurant right inside the Resort
    5. The ability at the Ticket and Transportation Center to transfer to a Monorail that goes to Epcot

    The Beach Club
    1. The incredible pool, Stormalong Bay which has a water slide on a pirate ship and sand on the bottom of some of the swimming pools
    2. Beach Club is really close to Epcot.  You can walk to the International Gateway which is between the United Kingdom and France in Epcot's World Showcase
    3. Access to the whole Boardwalk area on Crescent Lake which has fabulous dinning and entertainment
    4. Friendship Boat access to Hollywood Studios 
    5. Disney movies and S'mores on the beach at night

    The Contemporary is amazing too, but your kids would probably enjoy the other two better.

    Whatever Deluxe Resort that you pick, I wish you a magical, memorable vacation with your family!
