I am happy that the Hood De Doo Review is being revived. I plan to attend in October. My question is: Can we attend the Review on a day when we do not have tickets to visit one of the Disney Parks?

Hey there, Penny! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a great vacation planning question.

Eek! Isn't it SO exciting that Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is reopening this summer?! This is one of my all-time favorite dining experiences in all of Walt Disney World Resort, and it's a fan favorite for good reason. Not only is the dinner delicious and plentiful and the strawberry shortcake drool-worthy, but the show is just hilarious, lively and absolutely unforgettable. I will never forget how much fun we all had and how much we all laughed, even my daughter, who was only three years old at the time! I am so happy to hear that you plan on laughing and living it up at the hilarious hootenanny on your upcoming magical vacation, so, let's plan your best Disney day!

I think you will be happy to hear that you can absolutely plan to attend Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue on a day that you don't have theme park tickets. Since the dinner show is located at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and not in one of the theme parks, no theme park ticket is required! I think enjoying Hoop-Dee-Doo is actually the perfect way to add extra fun and magic to your park-free day! Just be sure to make your Advanced Dining Reservation 60 days in advance.

If you are not staying at Fort Wilderness but are staying in one of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, don't forget that you can use Disney transportation to get to Fort Wilderness for dinner. If you are not staying in one of the Magic Kingdom Area Resorts, I recommend first taking a bus from your Resort over to Magic Kingdom Park. Since you won't be entering the park, no theme park ticket is required! Once you get off the bus, head over to the watercrafts and take the lovely, scenic boat ride over to Fort Wilderness to enjoy your amazing dinner show and perfect pixie-dusted evening. Just be sure to give yourself at least 90 minutes of travel time to ensure that you make your reservation on time. As an early bird, I always recommend giving yourself plenty of time for travel, and if you arrive early, just enjoy relaxing along the beautiful Bay Lake before dinner. Enjoy!

Penny, I hope this was helpful, and I hope you have the BEST time on your upcoming magical vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm wishing you lots of laughs, full bellies and pixie dust! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in planDisney!

I hope to see ya real soon,
