Hi there, Stephanie!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're so glad you're here! We're very happy to help with any questions you have about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
May is fantastic time to visit as the weather is not stifling hot. Also, one of my favorite Special Events will be taking place at Epcot during the dates you've picked. It's the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival where the entire Park is exploding with gorgeous, colorful blooms! You can read and watch more about the Festival by clicking the link above.
As far as dining at Walt Disney World, there are so many different options either with or without one of the
Disney Dining Plans.Table Service restaurants accept reservations 180-days in advance and they are highly recommended. Now, we have gone down on a spur-of-the moment weekend getaway and have been able to walk into more than one very popular location last-minute and there was room for us to dine there. That certainly isn't common and for a vacation like yours, I wouldn't recommend counting on that happening. A little bit of planning can go a very long way. Even if you just make one reservation per day at some of your favorite places, you'll at least have some options and you can always cancel.
You can also dine at one of the many awesome Quick Service locations around the property. Reservations are not required for these as you just walk right up to the counter and place your order.
I'm just about out of room for this answer, but I sure hope this gives you a place to start. Please feel free to write back in with any other questions you have!
Wishing you and your family a Pixie Dusted vacation!
