What happpens when I make a reservation for a park and I wasn't able to go?

Hey there, Cathy, and welcome back to planDisney! We're so glad you trust us with your questions. I hope you're having an absolutely magical day.

I see you weren't able to make your Theme Park Reservation. Here at Walt Disney World Resort, we understand that life happens! There's no penalty for a no-show theme park reservation; however, if you're able to, we ask that you cancel your reservation. This helps us accurately track park attendance and allows another Guest to reserve that spot. You can conveniently cancel the same day in your My Disney Experience app. Just click the “+” symbol and select “Make or Modify Park Reservations.” After selecting your reservation, you'll see the option to cancel.

When it comes to Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World Resort, there is a penalty for no-shows or late cancellations. You must cancel at least two hours prior to your dining reservation to avoid a per-person cancellation fee. If you don't cancel with sufficient notice or don't show up, the credit card provided at the time of booking will be automatically charged $10 per person. Please note that the following restaurants offering advance reservations do not allow modifications within two hours of your reservation time:

    -Cinderella’s Royal Table
    -Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review
-Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Pre-Party
-Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Post-Party
-Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets
-Rose & Crown Fireworks Dining Package
-Spice Road Table Fireworks Dining Package
-Celebration at the Top – Sip, Savor, Sparkle
-Top of the World Lounge – multiple products
    -GEO-82 Fireworks Experience

So, as for your park reservation, you're good to go! I hope this information has helped. As always, please come back if you have any questions in the future. It's always a pleasure to assist you.

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
