Hello there Jack, and welcome back to planDisney!
We recently celebrated our
Disney Fairy Tale Wedding here at Walt Disney World Resort, and a big focus for me was being able to provide
accessible access for our guests who used mobility devices like my father, so I spent quite a bit of time looking at the options available to us. This included seeing whether
Happily Ever After had a special spot designated for mobility device users, and after confirming with the Magic Kingdom Park
Guest Relations team, here's what they shared with me:
- There is currently a designated space marked on this downloadable Magic Kingdom Guidemap that is marked as "Fireworks Viewing for Guests with Disabilities" and designated with a purple "F" on the map in the area near Casey's Corner; from my most recent observations this month the entrance to this enclosed grassy lawn area tends to be closer to The Crystal Palace.
- Access to this location is first-come, first-served and I noticed folks already queuing up alongside Cast Members tasked with permitting entry into this space even over an hour prior to Happily Ever After. Bear in mind that all folks and families with all kinds of mobility needs may be admitted into this space and that there may be others in this viewing area who are able to stand to watch the fireworks.
Bear in mind that there is no guarantee that this space may be available, and though each individual may be permitted another guest to watch alongside them this is subject to change without prior notice and may be ultimately at the discretion of the Cast Members managing the area and their leadership. I highly recommend swinging by ahead of time and speaking with the Cast Members stationed there to ask them what they recommend based on the way that operations are planned for that evening. I hope this helps all the same Jack, and we hope to see you back at planDisney again for any other tips or advice!
Here's to spectacular views for guests of every ability at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
